আজ আমরা শিখব, যেসকল ক্ষেত্রে Verb এর Present Form (v1) ব্যবহৃত হয় অর্থাৎ, Verb এর কোনো পরিবর্তন করতে হয় না তার বহুল ব্যবহৃত ৩টি নিয়ম

১. Modal Auxiliary Verb এরপর (shall, should, will, would, may, might, must, can, could….. এসবের পর)
Example :
a) You can go now.
b) They should work for their country.

২. Preposition “to” এরপর Verb এর Present form হয়
Example :
c) She liked to sing.
d) We want to learn English.

৩. Universal Truth (চিরন্তন সত্য যেসকল বাক্য), সবসময়ই Present Indefinite Tense এর হয়; অর্থাৎ, এক্ষেত্রে মূল Verb টি Present form (v1) হবে।
Example:
e) The sun rises in the east.
f) The sun gives us light.

*Present indefinite Tense এ Subject যদি Third Person Singular number হয়, প্রয়োজন অনুযায়ী verb এর s/es যোগ করতে হবে।

Using the present form of a verb in English follows several rules:

1. General Present Tense: Use the base form (infinitive without “to”) of the verb for general actions or states happening now or regularly. Example: “I eat breakfast every morning.”

2. Third Person Singular: Add “s” or “es” to the base form of the verb when the subject is third person singular (he, she, it, a singular noun). Example: “She eats breakfast every morning.”

3. Negative Form: Add “do not” (don’t) or “does not” (doesn’t) before the base form of the verb to create the negative form. Example: “I do not eat breakfast every morning.”

4. Question Form: Invert the subject and auxiliary verb (“do” or “does”) to form a question. Example: “Do you eat breakfast every morning?”

5. Habitual Actions: Use the present simple tense to describe habits, routines, or facts. Example: “The sun rises in the east.”

6. Verbs of Senses: Use the present simple to describe what you see, hear, feel, etc., at the moment of speaking. Example: “I hear a noise.”

7. Future Events: Use the present simple for scheduled events in the future, especially in timetables, programs, etc. Example: “The train leaves at 9 o’clock tomorrow.”

8. Verbs of State: Some verbs, like “believe,” “like,” “know,” “understand,” etc., are often used in the present simple to express states rather than actions. Example: “I understand the situation.”

Remember that irregular verbs may have different forms in the present tense (e.g., “go” becomes “goes” in the third person singular). Additionally, some verbs have unique forms or exceptions to these rules.
